Are you still free midweek-evenings? For dinner. And drinks, but not excessively. If that's something you still have an interest in.

It has been a strange week or so. And I had thought, perhaps, you had decided against me.

No--no, not that. Sorry I didn't get in touch sooner. There's work always needs done, and there was a shuffle with some of the sleeping quarters situation. Got a lot of new roommates suddenly. Not everyone adjusts well. And other plans, other things pop up.

Should've said something sooner. But things feel a little more calmed down. Is your strange week...calming down?

There is nothing to apologize for, certainly. Life gets in the way.

I think so. [ A sigh. ] We'll see. Either way, I'm not going to wait for a 'better time', as one may never come.

That-- [hm. He almost argues, but there's an audible kind of deflation.] --is a healthy way of seeing things, yeah. So...this week maybe? You got any recommendations where to go?

This week works well for me.

There's The Innocent Magpie, not far from the docks. A little less popular than, say, The Hanged Man but also a little less... dangerous. Quieter. I think it would be a good locale.

Frankly, I don't know that I'd go to the Hanged Man for more than listening to gossip while getting just this side of drunk. Fun time, not really a dinner kind of place, I feel like. Quieter's nice.

That's true, and fair enough.

Wednesday, then, should we say around seven? Or would you rather start earlier in the evening?

I'll work with your schedule. I've got no problem. You wanna meet at the ferry, or...?
